"UTILYON 3 wave "
With its wide 29-inch wheels, the UTILYON sets the course for a high degree of smoothness. This is because the rollover angles in front of smaller obstacles, such as lowered kerbs or potholes, are flatter so that comfort remains high and there is less bouncing.
Payload and luggage transport also play a special role in the UTILYON in general. A total permissible weight of 180 kg for the rider, bike and luggage leaves much more scope for individual mobility. This is why it is not only possible to carry panniers on the designer Carrier. Thanks to the optional front Carrier, smaller items of luggage can also be stowed in the visible area, directly under the Handlebar.
To ensure that the total weight of up to 180 kg can be moved with ease, the "UTILYON 3" relies on the Performance CX engine from the Bosch Smart System, which gets its energy from the PowerTube 750. This is not only sufficient for longer distances. Thanks to the continuously variable Enviolo Heavy Duty internal gear hubs and the virtually maintenance-free Gates CDX Straps, comfort is particularly high.
Who is a "UTILYON 3" suitable for? We have developed the model for all those who want an independent concept that is suitable for a wide range of requirements. This includes multi-day bike trips with the corresponding luggage. But it is also ideal for smaller errands from the supermarket. These can then be stowed in several places - provided the appropriate bags and baskets are available.
Continental's Contact Urban tires offer very good grip, which are even available on the UTILYON in the 60-622 format and give the bike a harmonious overall appearance. The obligatory Reflective Stripes ensure passive safety. Active illumination of the route is provided by the bright 120 lux LED lighting. At the rear, the lighting is not only integrated into the Fender but also offers an additional lighting function thanks to the motion sensor, which virtually takes on the role of a brake light when the speed is reduced abruptly. Formally, however, it is a stop light. Either way, we didn't want to do without this useful safety feature on the UTILYON.
Speaking of speed reduction: the UTILYON is stopped by 203/180 mm hydraulic Disc Brakes. The significantly thicker cross-section of the brake rotors ensures long-lasting stability and is therefore an ideal match for the UTILYON concept.
The "UTILYON 3" is available as a dynamically designed model with a top tube or as a stylish mono frame version. As with all new VICTORIA developments, the batteries integrated in the down tube can be removed from the top, making it unnecessary to remove them from the bottom. However, in view of the large capacities and the associated battery weight, we recommend charging on the UTILYON instead, as it is simply more convenient.
